So I'm trying to fiddle with the ISO file in ultraiso and I'm kinda stuck. (Read: I'm trying to force my iso to deal with the fact that I want the menu in english. I'm at the part where I have to stuff the FILEDATA.cpk back into the iso and can't for the life of me figure out what I'm doing wrong. I keep getting an "Open error". Can someone possibly give me a solution, or at least some information to work with? I can give out as many screenshots of my laptop screen as needed.)

Edit: Actually I think I might have fixed it. For some reason my computer thought the ISO was open in "system" despite the fact that it was very much NOT attached to my computer for a bit (I use the card reader to move stuff to and from the psp memory card)

Edit 2: I accidentally the game so I guess I did it wrong. Oh well, this is what backups are for.

Quick stupid question, why is "everyone" trying to do a patch for this ?
I was trying to force something that I'd found previously into my ISO to serve as a quick-fix to my whole "not being able to read japanese characters" problem, so I don't really know about why anybody else is trying to patch it aside from maybe the same reason as me.

And then as soon as I try to post a response somebody posts the info I was looking for. Thanks there guy, I'll look into it later when I'm not frustrated if somebody else hasn't made a program that automatically adds the menu patch by then!

"Everyone" just want to try it. Not the patch but just something small to "feel the power" but rather then answering their questions you turn them down with something "hey dont ask stupid question i will make it for you". Maybe you dont know about that teaching man to fish is better then giving him one.

Guys, we are working. Me and romsstar with the help of StorMyu, that's a fact. For now i'm focusing on finding the best way to edit the game files, text editing is the worst thing, and it seems like the most of you that are trying to "hack" this game use this method..
Anyways a good part of the text is already translated, this isn't released yet and there aren't so many screens becouse we don't want to publish incomplete things.

Thanks! I was hoping that there are people actually working on an English patch for this. And I hope we will at least get a 100% items/menu/skills translation patch so we will all get to play this while waiting for the 100% complete re:digitize translation.

Hey, just a suggestion. Now that we can say that there is a "translation team", why don't you ask xhai if he wants to join you?. He showed that he does know stuff (he showed a screenshot of a part he translated before, so he demonstrated that he can be useful for this project), so if you organize like "you are gonna translate this part, I'm gonna translate this one" I think it would be better. As I said, just a suggestion :P

Also, I have really NO idea how you guys do this kind of stuff. But if you use a software (like a special program designed for PSP games translations), it would be awesome if you told us which one (so that we can search about that for more info, just to know). If you make the translation by difficult things like StorMyu showed us before then do not bother :P

The idea of this thread is that a translation patch some day comes out. Usually, if more people work together in something, it's better (not talking about translation patches, I'm talking about life in general). The user I named before, showed that he is capable (he showed a visual proof of his work, a.k.a screenshot), and I just thought it would be a nice idea if the team would want to consider him to be part of the team (I mean, IF he wants to be in it). Of course that if they don't want to, there's no problem at all. It's not that I'm giving orders or something just because this is a thread that I created. I'm very aware that the team has the final decision and I'm perfectly fine with that, but I think that no suggestion should be taken like an offense

we can read the thread, there is no need to keep referring back to old information in the thread as if we hadn't seen it
if theres someone we deem usable they will be contacted, but also there needs to be checks that patches/builds dont leak
as Re-digitize caused ALOT of hassle because of a dodgy terrible early build leaked and it was sorted.

skill alone doesnt cut it if there going to leak it to friends and such as it then reflects bad on the team for incomplete work

I'm sorry.... what. What were you trying to "force" into the game? You do realize there is no translation patch yet correct?

Also this entire thread is getting a little out of Hand. Pong, Story, Roxas, calm yourselves bros. Just work on your patch as you want. Let everyone in this thread dick around with their half translations and such.
Don't be translating games for glory, do it for the people. Do it for the experience. Do it for the love of the game.

Okay. I've managed to translate a LOT of the menu.
This has nothing to do with the translation team of Romstar, pong, roxas, etc.
I've done a ROUGH translation of the menu. Feel free to edit it with correct translations. (Note I used a lot of abbreviations. Strategy was changed to Tact. for tactics to make it fit) There are bound to be some mistakes.
This is by no means complete. All I've done is translate enough of the menu and battle menu to make it playable.
This is not for glory or anything, and I'm sure the translation team will do a much better job. But I hope people can use/edit this in the meantime.

@silverwolf689, awesome! This will help the people who started playing the game and wanna get the basic controls more easily :) (not me, I'll just wait till the team releases the full patch some day, but that's just me)

@CrashmanX, I agree. They should just work as they want to, because after all they are the ones who will make the definitive patch :) . If some other people wanna create their own patches, well, this is a free country internet so they can if they want to.

I've got a question; technically posting a modded ID file would be "illegal", isn't it? Because it would be a modification of copyrighted content... I guess, that if that's correct I can't put silverwolf's patch on the 1st page. I know that someone can be banned from this forum for posting ISOs, but has anybody here been banned before because of uploading a file of a game?

When the full patch is done. I plan to replay or finish the game. I wanna see all this game has to offer.
Oh I didn't realize it was illegal, I could just post the data in a text file. Then people can just manually add it to the file themselves. Or if someone knows how to make this data into a patch then go ahead. But it's not like it's an iso or a sale or anything.
