hi

can someone please point me in the right place on where to look for a tutorial for being able to unlocking xbox 360 with dg-16d5s drive? I have seen various different tuotrials, but just want one where its going to be the least amount of expense and hassel if possible.

also once unlocked is it possible to play backups on x360 live still?

The only thing i find in a quick read was:
- to read out the key you need an rgh
- better let a pro install the rgh as you need a lot of stuff

For a DG-16D5S you'll need to RGH the console if you want the key. By far they are the toughest drives the hack from a hardware perspective. If you can't solder or just want an easier solution, I strongly recommend you sell the console and buy a Jasper model phat 360. The hardest model drive there is the DG-16D2S and even then they're quite easy - all you need is a probe to extract the key. As for backups, while I recommend you do patch them correctly, don't sweat it if you forget or want to use some modded ISOs and the like. No one has gotten banned from a flashed system in years, even me who's been using the most "unsafe" XGD3 backups for 2 and a half years (truncated instead of full proper burned XGD3 games). Just trying to make you a bit less afraid in terms of Xbox Live - it's completely safe these days.

Just found out he's doing alright, doing a lot of complaining too, rightfully so. Who wouldn't complain after having a seizure and being hospitalized?
