its not looking good
recovery mode is completely gone off the tablet
the only other alternative is to use apx mode which is working however you need the devices UID (which is unique for every one) and this one doesnt even display it when I try and obtain it

this thing seems to be completely fried

I guess this would work as a full mb replacement

it doesnt seem to difficult to disassemble the mb comes out right after your take out the battery

I could also try and contact acer and say it bricked via the ota update for ics and see if they will fix it free, the warranty already expired but alot of people had that problem

when powered up it only showed a black screen, nothing else
the boot loader was gone/destroyed, recovery was missing, apx mode was the only thing working

they only way to repair it in that condition was to acquire the UID which is unique to every tegra device, with the UID number your tablet is basically unbrickable
I tried 5 different methods but I couldnt get it

then finally someone who wrote a code in c++ to retrieve the UID if everything else fails showed it to me, unfortunately it was written for linux systems so everything needed to be rewritten from the ground up for the windows platform
he rewrote it and I compiled it and it worked, got the UID, plugged it into the program and it restored it back to honeycomb then upgraded to ics

indeed (well I guess I could have installed ubuntu to compile it if I really needed to)
anyway this tab is amazing, enjoying the bigger screen and res, everything loads a lot quicker now thanx to the dual core, longer battery life (like 8 hours now)
my only complaint is the official power cord is like 2 ft long, wtf

I dont feel a need to mess with installing cwm right now, once they drop support I do it to get newer android os's (this shipped with hc, so im guessing jelly bean wont be supported)
I only rooted it so far

now I have 2 other tablets to sell, I could probably make my money back on both

Do you have ICS on it now? And yeah dude my usb cord is like 2 feet too! wtf!

Anyways, what you should do, is when you tryin selling it, say you'll root it for like an extra $30 bucks, i'm sure some sucker go for it.

And one you do install cwm and get a custom rom - you wont regret it. they offer so much more functionality and speed.
