I've kinda figured it out and installed a game successfully. The CE-35659-8 error message was because there was 2 pkg files that had to be combined with 'pkg-merge' before the install. I'm still getting the CE-30129-5 error which is annoying, but I can install games so I can live with it.

To set application install location, the PS4 needs to format the HDD in some other format that's not exfat. It' a bit of a wild goose chase as the HDD needs to be exfat for my PC to recognize it

Split pkgs are usualy no good as they are not fake signed. Did you obtain it from a sony server loacation? What pkg was it and did it run once installed?

Yeah formatted as extended storage via the PS4 itself. Option probably isnt there if you havent formatted your hdd through the ps4.

Can't I fake sign it myself somehow?

@gi5431

Nope.

AFAIK You can extract RSA encrypted contents, but not PFS until we have SAMU keys, or another method.

There is no way to decrypt PKGs on a pc yet.

Can u point me in the right direction on getting the pkg's to work?

I am in the same boat! But my purpose are different. I had a lot of issues with Bloodborn on Hen 5.05. So i bought a original disk to play without HEN. Thing is that i wanted to update my game offline (CUSA00900) but it seems i can't install official Update PKGS with debug menu. Is there a way to update a original somehow?

If you can’t for some reason install the official update with the disc you own... which you should be able to (maybe check the CUSA ID?) then:

FPKG updating: You need to find updates that have been installed and dumped by 5.05 users, then you need to marry the PKG to the base game PKG (you need to dump your game and inject keystone to continue using saves).

Oh! I think nobody have ever dumped the US version updates of Bloodborn. All the releases found are for the GOTY edition EU witch as a diffement CUSA obviously...I'll play the game without the updates then and it onlycost me 15 bucks so i'll leave it unupdated

Thanks a lot for the quick answer! :) really apreciated

Heh, but if you have the disc and can get the legit updates (May have trouble finding 5.05 compatible ones), then you can install and dump em for others ;)

Edit: checking https://ps4database.io/view/CUSA00900_00/NP

The update is for firmware 2.03 which might explain why no one has dumped em...

    BigOnYa @ BigOnYa: I played the intro to far cry 5, that is like some crazy Jim Jones cult shit. Still its petty...
