Well, I was experimenting with emerald, load it onto NOR Flash tried it out for a few minutes, saved the game and shut the unit off.

Turning it back on with BOTH the GnM AND 3in1 in the DS Lite results in the Datel startup screen then two white screens.

Starting with ONLY the 3in1 in results in it being seen as a GBA cart, loads up save fine.

Starting with ONLY GnM goes straight to it's little launcher thing as normal.

Starting with only GnM then running v1.9c of Rudolph's tool get's you a no cart found, sticking in the 3in1 then pressing A resets the DS Lite.

Starting with ONLY GnM then inserting 3in1 results in reboot.

Moral, I guess that 1024Mbit FLASH plus GnM == BAD news.

Meh, double post, but I did some further experimenting with the above(still awaiting my %&^#$%^&#@$^&@!!! Evo!!):
Tried the original 128M µSD that came with the GnM, still white screened.

Tried deleting the Pokemon save file and ROM file, still white screened.

Then, I had an idea, I'll try a couple real GBA carts that I have handy right here:
Super Mario Advance: White screens as described above.

Castlevania Circle of the Moon: White screens as described above.

Now, I'm somewhat confused, so I take out a DS Lite cart that I also have handy:
Etrian Odyssey plus 3in1 or one of the 2 real carts: Boots me up to my pick your game cart screen DS Firmware giving me Etrian Odyssey slot-1 and whatever slot-2 game

Ok, It's not the DS.

This kind of makes me wonder if it's not some sort of additional anti-"piracy" "feature" of the GnM maybe, couple with having the ROM in NOR Flash. The only problem with that is that I had tried a few other ROMs in NOR just to check that it was functional as I usually just use the PSRAM feature since most of my games aren't that large.

Now, I really need that Evo to do further testing. (Of course my luck is that absolutely no one that I know, or in my family own a DS, so I can't borrow or otherwise test this sooner... or even clear the 3in1.)
