Homebrew Daggerfall emulation on n2ds using Dosbox, is it possible?

Im wanting to spend some time getting daggerfall running properly on my new 2ds xl, using dosbox or another dos emulator. Before I put in the work of getting it running, I wanted to ask around and see if anyone has tried this before and if so what were your results. I saw a post about arena running successfully, and a comment buried deep on this forum about daggerfall running slowly for someone on the o3ds.

I really would appreciate any feedback and suggestions of how I could get this working, I can setup daggerfall through dosbox myself, just dont know if there is a specific version I need to use or what

Alright the short answer is no. I tried with arena, which came before daggerfall and could only get it to run at what I think was ~5 fps.

After researching it seems in the current state of 3ds dos emulation you can only expect games that released before 1985 to run well and the elder scrolls was released in the mid 90s.
