Homebrew Custom .wad stuck at "loading dol"

So, I just found some good Sega Genesis games to play in Genesis Plus GX. I've tried multiple channel forwarders, and even tried making my own with CustomizeMii, but whenever I launch the Channel, It stops/freezes at the "loading dol" stage. also, if it helps, the Wii remote shuts off and won't connect either.

I've got a forwarder to genplus-gx that works correctly when launched from the Wii system menu, but not when launched from USB Loader GX (thread here https://gbatemp.net/threads/genplus-gx-forwarder-with-usb-loader-gx.377662/).

So by any chance are you also trying to forward to genplus-gx from within USB Loader GX?

Nope. I run all of my games from discs and have never used a USB loader.
