Very nice release, thanks emu_kidid.

Edit: Someone with SVN access should download the source and post on FT. You know... just in case

Anyone can access the source with a SVN client.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I have an NTFS formatted 8gig USB stick, and I have IOS58 installed, and CleanDump says that there is no NTFS volume found on the USB stick. I have tried both USB ports.

Any ideas, or should I just go with FAT32 for now.

Thanks

i took this for a test drive last night and i kicks ass. it dumped SSBB in 22minutes to NTFS. beats the hell out of 4+ HRs with the wifi dumper and 45mins with usb loaders and their 1:1 setting.

Cool, could have used this back when I was ripping my Gamecube discs. I'll definitely use it if I need to do that again/rip more of 'em. It's way way way better than what I was using at that time.

Very Sweet APP emu_kidid. Very impressive.

I have 4.3E officially updated. HBC 1.0.8 running in IOS58.

I ripped:

Wii Play to NTFS - Just over 13.5min
SSBB to NTFS - Just shy of 25min

Just testing NSWB now for BCA

NSWB + BCA worked perfectly via WODE. Played for about 20min with no issues.

I used v1.01 and it allows a single file backup to ntfs. SSBB created the full +8Gb as one file and the single layers were a 4.37Gb single ISO file.

This isn't too bad...a couple of suggestions for NTFS use though:
1.) Maybe use the libntfs source from WiiXplorer, since that's a bit more recent and has additional fixes.
2.) Make dumping a one shot deal when selecting NTFS since it can handle the entire size of the dump. Currently it will stop reading the disc when it hits (guessing) 4GB, then you need to press A again, disc spins back up and continues reading the last small portion - this is using the max option.
3.) Automatically join the two parts of the file and just produce 1 file...which actually if step 2 just did the entire disc at once on NTFS, would not be needed.
Otherwise looks good and maybe a tad bit faster than SuperDump.

I used this on SSBB and got 1024MB/s speed on just 1 (1GB) part!
1024MB/s = 1GB/s. Are you telling me you dumped a disc @ 1GB/s?

USB 2.0 max speed = 480MB/s
SDHC max speed 2-10MB/s

I'm impressed. You dumped more than double the max capacity of USB 2.0... ;-p

I used the first version of this program to dump my copy of Wii Sports, and it dumped in about twenty-one minutes. I was away from the Wii for a few minutes before I started the dump back up again, so that probably added to the time as well. The version of Wii Sports works without any problem on UNEEK+DI. I have the latest Homebrew Channel, and have IOS58 installed.

Is there a way to dump an image to a FAT partition in one step with splitted files?

I will start the dump and when I came back later the dump should be completely ready. But in my experiments CleanRip ask me to change the medium for the next part.

Nice app! Ripped some of my gc games (9 min each, to a FAT32HDD). And all matched redump.org's MD5/SHA-1.

EDIT: Version 1.0.2 released

Another day, another version!

CleanRip has been updated to version 1.0.2 and comes with some new features & bug fixes

Whatsnew in 1.0.2:
* Added redump.org in-program verification (see FAQ section)
* Added auto file splitting (i.e. ripping a Wii disc to a large FAT32 hdd)
* Fixed BCA dumping (GC & Wii disc)
* Fixed Multi-Disc rip file names
* Fixed Crashes on disc init

FAQ:
Q. How do I use the redump.org verification to see if my rips are good?
A. Go to www.redump.org, click on downloads and then download the
"Nintendo GameCube datfile" and the "Nintendo Wii datfile". Extract the .dat from the
zip archives and place them on the root of the device you will be dumping to.
They must be named gc.dat (Gamecube) and wii.dat (Wii), otherwise they will not be found.

Q. CleanRip tells me that my dump is not verified, is this a bad rip?
A. It might be. To be sure, go to redump.org and have a look at the game you're trying to rip.
If it doesn't exist on redump.org, then feel free to sign up to the forum and submit
your rip checksum. If it does exist, then make sure you've turned off any Gamecube/Wii
region patching from your modchip and also that the disc is as clean as can be. It might
help to try ripping it on another wii if possible.

Q. What is "New Device per chunk" I see when entering my Wii settings?
This is useful to set to "No" when you're ripping a large game (>4GB) to a large enough
FAT32 formatted device. This way, it'll automatically split your file based on the chunk
size and will not prompt you to insert the next storage device for the next piece.
