HP mini 311 is decent, battery life is bad, because osx runs the ION gpu at full power nonstop. OC mine to 2.2ghz. It works with a retail install all the way up too 10.6.6 which is the latest.

Dell mini 10v is the one I've been looking at. Not sure how far you can update OSX on it tho.

Assuming you don't need the portability, you're definitely much better off going with a desktop if your intended usage is iOS development.

My comp runs at 3.33 ghz and 2 gigs of ram, will that work?

I used my ASUS eee PC 1201n as a Hackintosh. I don't know fuck all about iOS development. I only did it because I could. I rarely use it, but it does work really well as far as I can tell and it was piss easy to do.

If you've got an external harddrive you can spare, nearly any computer can be a hackintosh by making it portable.

Portable MAC OSX

I wouldn't suggest running it from a flash drive, it's a bit slow.
