Hi,
so I was just browsing Amazon Germany, seeing their Fire HD 8 on sale and thought well maybe for video streaming but then I thought hold the fuck on, you already have a switch - which would be more than enough for my streaming needs. Y tho no Netflix, Amazon Video? Is it likely it will come?
There is Netflix and Amazon Video on Wiiu, and Netflix on US 3DS afaik. IMO the Switch would be perfect for this.

It would be just convenient, I had a long train ride today and played some switch, watched some shows on my laptop but that wasn't just too convenient, it's a bit uncomfortable to have a 14 inch laptop on your legs, switch would be more than enough

It will come at some point in time but who knows how long it will take.
I really dont care if it comes or not tho.
For use at home i can see netflix, but on the go it just wouldnt work.
You have no internet on the switch unless you in a wifi area or use your phone to hotspot. And if your using your phone to hotspot then whats the point in watching the movie on the switch.

But to each there own i guess.

But nintendo did say they where going to worry about gaming first

Nintendo might want
the switch for games 1st

other stuff like the media apps (youtube) come 2nd as most use PC/phones/tablet for that kinda of stuff

There's hope for a Xenosaga port.

I wouldn't use data from my phone. That is expensive.
Nevertheless, if Netflix implements the same features as the Android version then that would include downloading a local copy of episodes. That could be useful on the go.

Well, maybe they include some kind of video player that can play files from SD. Don't know how it was with 3DS, think it was able to do that.
