Hardware Cannot Sync Pro Controller in CFW?

I have a pro controller. I initially connected it to my switch in CFW and was updating it and it kept losing connection... not sure why.

So, I booted into OFW and was able to connect the controller and update it. Now back in CFW it will not connect. Not sure why. How do I reset this controller? My joycons work fine on either side OFW or CFW.

Is something to do with usb3, its a known issue with the latest CFW, the link above discusses it and shows a fix

had same problem. but now it works somehow out of nowhere.
