I'm building a portable wii and I would like to use a disk drive from a wii mini and install it on to my wii's motherboard, but I'm wondering if that is indeed possible?

Sorry this is off-topic, but, why are you using a wii mini disc drive? It can't read GC games if you ever want to play them. Also, I don't know anything about making portable consoles, so I can't really answer your question
