I have my windows 7 iso, and I'm wondering if I can install it from my HDD, or if I need to use my current os and magic disk to mount it. Or do I need to take the contents from the iso and put them on the root of my HDD? What is the best way to do this?

Best way to do it? Burn to DVD and install.
I believe you can, with an application, "convert" the ISO which gets "mounted" on a temporary partition that gets booted into on the next restart.
I'm not sure of the specifics of this, I had looked into it a while back when I was out of CDs and didn't want to keep burning linux distros to DVD just to try them out. I found Wubi for K/Ubuntu and that worked but it wasn't a real install, though was fine for my needs.

You can try the link below, but I don't think I ever got it working.
