Hacking Can I have an External USB Fan and still load from USB?

My Wii is fairly ancient, and as such, cannot play dual-layered disc games like Brawl. Now I can play Brawl with Cfg, but my Wii's internal fan stopped working. I'm in the market for an external fan, but they take up the USB slots. There are fans that come with USB slots of their own and I am wondering if I can still load games off the Fan's USBs, as I imagine those are there to remain compatible with games like Rock Band.
