Hacking Can I download stuff from the shop channel?

Basically, I live in the UK, and I want to try out Netflix on my Wii (only just came out here). My Wii is softmodded, but I can access the shop channel. If I choose to download/install anything via the shop channel (i.e. the netflix player), will that do anything to my Wii? E.g. will it un-hack it, or un-install the HBC, or could it brick my Wii etc?

It shouldn't do anything to a softmoded Wii, I just download the Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword Save Data Update Channel
from the shop channel and it didn't affect the softmod on my Wii.

The only thing from the Shop Channel that will screw with your softmod is the "mandatory" system menu updates that may show up with you log on. There isn't one and hasn't been one for a while, but if it ever prompts you to update always come back and learn more here first.

Any games, software, etc. from the Shop is fine to download.

Don't get too addicted to Netflix. I did, now that I don't have the trail I miss it.

I might get an account. It's only £6 a month, which isn't too bad if they have plenty of stuff I like. So it depends on how much I use it during my free month.
