i also got 2 very cheap (around 15 euros each) broken 360's in my range, these are the details i know:

one with 3 red lights, other with 4 red lights
both don't have a HDMI port (so they are a phat 360?)
both have a HDD of 20 gigs, and the insuranceperiod is over
all the cables are there, the boxes are gone

i have no experience at all in this, but what are the odds I can get any of these consoles working again? maybe i can put them together to fix the broken parts or something like that?

4 red lights?
Have you hooked up a working AV cable?

If it is the CPU or GPU BGA chip that has a void (dry solder / cracked joint) then the chanes of fixing it long term are slim. Tight mechanical clamping and reflowing via heating methods may have varied success. The only way to fix for good is to remove both chips, re-ball and then re-solder. If you have the knowledge and access to the equipment it is fine, if you don't then the cost of having it done will not be worth it.

I would steer clear of faulty units and save up for a new one.
