In my opinion rebuilding the ROM is very annoying. If you make one modification you have to rebuild a separate file. It also takes time to rebuild and unpack.
It's definitely cumbersome. Rebuilding the ROM can take a long time (and it very well might) - not to mention you must first unpack it - then, when you do rebuild the ROM, you've got to open it up in a hex editor and remove a certain range of bytes, remove your flashcart, grab your MicroSD-to-SD adapter and move the built ROM over to said flashcart, put it back in your 3ds, and finally run it. You'll have to do that literally every time you even make a slight change.@Logan Pockrus @Roomsaver
Is rebuilding the rom that much of a problem? I mean, do romhackers not have scripts to do that? Or is the problem that it takes time?
I never said Gateway had all features at all (otherwise I wouldn't have Luma as my main on my 3 systems, installed with a9lh from a period when Gateway didn't support a9lh at all). I just wanted to balance the "waste of money" sentence. Which is true for most people but not necessarily an absolute truth.
It will probably be on 10.7, you shouldn't have anything to worry about.Hey. Sorry for bumping this but this is important for me:
I'd like to buy a New Nintendo 3DS now which will be compatible with downloaded Games. This is what I'd like to buy:
https://www.amazon.de/Nintendo-2205...8&qid=1469963112&sr=1-1&keywords=nintendo+3ds
Is this compatible? I mean, is this Version 11.0?
It won't be. 11.0 is too new right now. If it somehow is, you can get a hardmod, or return the console and get a new one. What if its on 11.0? Im screwed then?
no gateway is unnecessary
