BluUBomb - A primary Wii U entrypoint via bluetooth

H2x1_generic_WiiU_image1280w.jpg

BluUBomb exploits the Wii U's bluetooth stack to gain IOSU kernel access via bluetooth.

Not to be confused with BlueBomb for the Wii and Wii Mini.

What does this mean?
This means you can get IOSU code execution by only pairing an emulated Wii Remote to the system.

This should be useful to fix a few softbricks on the Wii U side.
You don't need a working browser or Mii Maker.
if you've messed up with regionhax and can no longer access the browser, BluUBomb can fix this as well.

The BluUBomb repository contains a few different kernel binaries for different purposes:

loadrpx.bin
Launches a launch.rpx from the root of your SD card on the next application launch.

regionfree.bin
Applies IOSU patches to temporarily remove region restrictions.
This should be helpful if you've locked yourself out of your applications due to permanent region modifications.

wupserver.bin
Launches a wupserver instance directly after using bluubomb.
This gets you full system access remotely via wupclient (replace the IP in line 29 with the one of your Wii U).
This works without having to leave the controller pairing screen.

The terminal says: Unsupported manufacturer and I can't disable Simple pairing mode. The manufacturer is Realtek

Sent from my Redmi 6 Pro using Tapatalk
"Unsupported manufacturer" should be fixed with the latest version.
If you can't disable simple pairing mode, you still won't be able to use it though.

Yeah, "Unsupported manufactured doesn't show up, but I'm not able to disable simple pairing mode though. I get the error: "Can't set Simple Pairing mode on hci0: Input/output error (5)" Do you think I have to use another machine or another Linux Distro? btw I'm doing this in Ubuntu 21.04 in the try mode trough a bootable USB

Hey everyone, a new release of bluubomb is now available: https://github.com/GaryOderNichts/bluubomb/releases/tag/v5 Changelog:
  • The thread bluubomb is running on no longer deadlocks
This means other controllers can still be used after running bluubomb
  • The console now powers off properly after running bluubomb
The console no longer needs to be force powered off while bluubomb binaries are running
  • The loadrpx binary now provides codegen access to launched titles
This allows launching PayloadFromRPX from any title, for example to launch the CustomRPXLoader and EnvironmentLoader
  • The Bluetooth adapter will now be restarted before sending data
This fixes issues with some adapters

In V5 version.

I run sudo ./bluubomb time by time, the sspmode change status between enable and disable, that's normal ?

e.g : 1st run sudo ./bluubomb, show sspmode warning, stop it , check the sspmode status: enable.
and I run 2nd sudo ./bluubomb, this time no sspmode warning, stop and check the sspmode status: disable.

can anyone build the rpx pro controller homebrew channel for me. I have a European Wii U and a US gamepad and if i can load homebrew via the rpx homebrew menu then i can install system config tool.

https://github.com/CreeperMario/homebrew_launcher/tree/dpad-rpx

i can access BluUBomb right now and boot the homebrew channel and Tiramisu installer but i cant select anything. with the RPX of the homebrew channel and the elf for WUP installer GX controller mod, I should be able to pair a gamepad with the kiosk menu or config tool hopefully.

Having a odd issue here, everything appears to be fine but when I send the packet to the wiiU. However when I open the settings app to kick off the bluubomb it hangs the wiiU.

Anyone have any ideas what I am doing wrong?
