Hacking Black Screen with some GBA roms

Just got my SuperCard Lite, and am loving it, probably going to wear the SD card out removing it and trying different things!

Classic NES Series: Super Mario Bros gives me a black screen that I can't recover from. Also, if I load the rom into VirtualBoy, it says"Game Pak Error"... So there is something going on there. I tried disableing all of the options when patching the rom to the DS Lite.

Using firmware 1.70 and Software 2.57.

I was able to load up the nes original no proble, but didn't like seeing the error. Have got the same error when loading other GBA roms also, can't remember which. What are these black screen errors most likely due to?

The classic nes/famicom mini series have some copy protection based around saves but owing to the fact that emulation is by far the better route people do that instead and only cracked a few of the titles.

    Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

    @Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.
