I should buy RE7 already, the demo was good.
I wonder if it is on sale on the xbox market already. (lately my stinginess is out of hands)

PS: TBH and IMHO RE7 is not a game interesting for the Switch. RE7 works best in a very big screen (yey 55" at least), on a dark room and using HDR. The demo was awesome like that at least. The lack of HDR in home would be bad, and also the portability factor of the Switch if you decide to use it as an advantage will degrade the ambience of the game due to no big screen in a dark room with HDR. IMHO.

@Retroboy
Your intelligence hurts me, stop trying too hard to sound clever :rofl2:
im not trying to sound like anything, simply pointing out that this false promise link is BS when the company "capcom" have stated it is not doing it, there is no point to claim otherwise. or disregard the fact.

id trust those who made the game over a blog.

to be fair the game is nothing great, it feels like an axed title that was later revived and slapped RE as the name.

but, I think i would enjoy it playing at work as a handheld game, i didnt like revelations but i thought it was good considering what the 3ds was.

I'm okay with that. Just sorta numbed out with Nintendo gaming and expecting too much.

I thought re7 was amazing. Its not the longest game ever. I think my first play through was around 10 hours. But it was the best resident evil since 4. There are so many jump scares. If you could get it for 25 or 30 dollars or the equivalent in your local currency it would be worth it in my book. Now the replay ability isn't the greatest due to the fact once you beat it once you know whats going to happen but there are still things to do after you beat it once like a traditional re game.

Don't worry there will be shit ton of games in the e3 /s

No.. If there is no 3rd party supporting or a little bit announcement of E3 this summer then I wouldn't buy it. Don't want to waste it. That's the reason why we don't buy Wii U in the first placed because of poor 3rd party supporting. :)

This, if there is not multiplatform games on the switch it would feel at best like a 3ds successor, I'm not bored about my 3ds so in don't have the urge to buy the switch anytime soon, besides the 3ds has a lot of games that the switch lacks

third parties release majority of the games these days giving a wider option of what to play.... lacking this your left with what?

nintendo titles stopped being interesting to me many years ago, i mean take Mario Bros on the wii.... not much difference from the Wii u or 3ds version, it just feels like the same game recycled.

F-Zero. There's no reason not to make another one.

A new First Person metroid game. The classic metroidvania style would be good, too.

Nightdives Turok ports. It's a Nintendo console, we need these.

Doom 64 as VC, please.

That not what they said the last time I talk to them.
I even asked them for a vWii VC title. They just said that team that worked for it left or something like that. I don't remember since it's buried below 6k tweets.

  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I just found out that the EU version is better in literally every way, better sound quality, better lighting, and there's even a patch someone made to make the text look nicer
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
Do I restart now using what i've learned on the EU version since it's a better overall experience? or do I continue with the US version since that is what ive been using, and if someone decides to play my hack, it would most likely be that version?
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
@TwoSpikedHands, I'll preface this with the fact that I know nothing about the game, but, I think it depends on what your goals are. Are you trying to make a definitive version of the game? You may want to refocus your efforts on the EU version then. Or, are you trying to make a better US version? In which case, the only way to make a better US version is to keep on plugging away at that one ;)
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
I'm not familiar with the technicalities of the differences between the two versions, but I'm wondering if at least some of those differences are things that you could port over to the US version in your patch without having to include copyrighted assets from the EU version
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
@Sicklyboy I am wanting to fully change the game and bend it to my will lol. I would like to eventually have the ability to add more characters, enemies, even have a completely different story if i wanted. I already have the ability to change the tilemaps in the US version, so I can basically make my own map and warp to it in game - so I'm pretty far into it!
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I really would like to make a hack that I would enjoy playing, and maybe other people would too. swapping to the EU version would also mean my US friends could not legally play it
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I am definitely considering porting over some of the EU features without using the actual ROM itself, tbh that would probably be the best way to go about it... but i'm sad that the voice acting is so.... not good on the US version. May not be a way around that though
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
    I appreciate the insight!
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@TwoSpikedHands just switch, all the knowledge you learned still applies and most of the code and assets should be the same anyway
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    and realistically they wouldn't

be able to play it legally anyway since they need a ROM and they probably don't have the means to dump it themselves
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
why the shit does the shitbox randomly insert newlines in my messages
  • Veho @ Veho:
It does that when I edit a post.
  • Veho @ Veho:
It inserts a newline in a random spot.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
never had that i don't think
  • Karma177 @ Karma177:
do y'all think having an sd card that has a write speed of 700kb/s is a bad idea?
trying to restore emunand rn but it's taking ages... (also when I finished the first time hekate decided to delete all my fucking files )
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@Karma177 that sd card is 100% faulty so yes, its a bad idea
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
even the slowest non-sdhc sd cards are a few MB/s
  • Karma177 @ Karma177:
@The Real Jdbye it hasn't given me any error trying to write things on it so I don't really think it's faulty (pasted 40/50gb+ folders and no write errors)
