Hacking best cfw ?

I always liked the latest REBUG firmware, it looked bad-ass, and also had TONS of cool tweaks in it.

the one i always use is Rebug.

i plan to buy a slim ps3 sometime soon , will then just put rebug on it.

to you fellas ,hows it holding up ?
my fat slim gets so loud after only 40 minutes of play and sometimes overheats.

i believe this happens with many of the slims too right ?

Not if there is proper circulation. As mentioned, you can cut a hole in the top of your case and / or use webman to manually control the fan speed instead of through syscon. This works great for me. 40% fan and you can see my temps a few posts back

also note that ps2 feature is not perfect, its trying to emulate so if a game isnt working check if its actually compatible first.
