Hardware Best accessory to protect from scratches in pocket? (bags/cases/etc)

So I've had an SP that I've spiffed up and it has the wonderful NES edition case with an AGS101 screen.

What is the best option for me to carry this around my pocket without the case getting extremely worn down? I'm talking about this through experience, as I bring it to work for when I have break or lunch, but it scratched the everloving shit out of my old GBA SP.

I've tried this but it's still showing scratches. I work a pretty physical job, so some kind of case is a must.

I put a layer of clear packaging tape over the top of the case and it seems to help guard against scratches from friction. Barely visible and it seems great so far. If anyone still has suggestions, do tell.
