Hardware Baseless Nintendo NX speculation thread

They wont waste any money on there patents Im assuming its all for the NX, so they dont get sued big like they did for the 3ds 3d feature
It seems to indicate a high INTERNET BASED COMMUNITY. (most likely paid subscription now that psn earned more than nintendo itself)
Hopefully not a steam machine, but it points at a seperate server box that can also act like a GPU for the system?
(possibly able to fit inside the nintendo) A BUILD YOUR OWN NINTENDO CONSOLE (half of the ps4 internally is a power brick and disk drive)
Looks like itll include 3 separate parts (notice how the controller isnt linked to the console, possible separate handheld)
It might use function like the "game share" for ps4 with a subscription im guessing

No console wants to launch after Christmas. Especially a Nintendo console that is more kid-oriented than XB1 PS4. Kids need their console for Christmas.

No Christmas release is another huge fuck up.

That was also Spring festival in Japan and China. It would be a great time to enter Chinese market (and if they succeed, completely forget about the west)

technically china would be there west, that would be a great idea if most werent all PC gamers already. Maybe the wiiu tried to cater to the chinese and failed miserably too.

Mario/ kirby can easily get popular.
Metaknight was super powerful.
This could leave zninteno very vulnerable to hack.

wiiu, wii, 3ds were hacked a lot easier than sony stuff. Wiiu was hacked way back in 2013 but the community is nice enough to not release stuff so companies can still make billions.

This console will be very bare bones in hardware with options to upgrade now/future, but they can realistically "reset" all their games into the new era (2006+) because realistically they never made the leap to real next gen (dennis the menace for coommodore impossible jump LOL)

So it would just be "The Legend Of Zelda" "Super Mario Bros/DuckHunt" "Punchout" and then go from there but all of them would have next gen content/gameplay/visual/audio/all of the above and be remakes themselves

You can install linux on older ps4. And none of the hardmod for wii u came out, or are you just talking anout v wii because it uses indentical entry as wii.
At least there will be new stuff unlike cod.

I really dont see any concern for nintendo. The console gaming industry is SO slow right now that steady nintendo releases sounds okay right now (until we see the games themselves). Sony is riding the vr train at e3 and xbox is stuck in muddy water

How does Dolphin handle on PS4 Linux? GameCube games played through a PS4? That could be awesome!

Inproper drivers(they use amd universal driver?). If they get past that, gc emulation won't be any problem. PS4 was still super powerful compared to average laptop.

Obliterate $800 range mini steam box. if someone can get the drivers then yes, it will be a really powerful console.

Pretty sure a 3rd party (obviously) created a peripheral for the Wii that turned the remote into a sex toy. It was designed for people in long distance relationships. The person on the other end could control the remote. Interesting really.

Usual response to that is: "Graphicz don't make a game gameplay does!!"

But then what happens when even the gameplay isn't enough to keep a game interesting? Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash. Good god Nintendo, get it together.

mario tennis has good gameplay, the problem is with everything else INCLUDING graphics. Lack of content, difficulty, etc,etc,etc... Pricey as hell...

'Ultra' Tennis isnt the only game with that problem either, although there were maybe about 6 nintendo games for wiiu. The online has MAJOR issues too with lack of stuff other systems have.

I started playing Smash this year and there is no balance, my win% is about 10% ,i still enjoy the online mode but kids will definitely not if they get juggled immediately and always

MTUS has great graphics and solid gameplay but it lacks content so much that it's barely playable.
