How can I save this size? My sizes are always different if I use the template and change it
In .tga? icon must be 32bits no RLE compression, TV and DRC banner 24bits no RLE compression.
But if you use the script method to inject you only need two .png files (banner TV and icon) with the correct dimensions, the size doesn't matter :)

Don't mind the horrible pic taken was made just to show (shaky hand and the small window to take pic of logo). Probably how I'll do my boot screens now with the gamecube logo instead of just nintendo, then a full splash. Figured I'd share how cool to me it was.

Wow talk about dedication lol, looks pretty cool with the platinum gcn though, good job :)

Ya know, the font Nintendo used must be somewhere...

So I decided to give it a crack to create some images for use with GameCube VC and by no means am I artistic but I've tried to make it official as possible...
just cant figure out how to add the raised effect around the text.if anyone could let me know it would be amazing!

These were created using Gimp as I have no bloody idea how to use Photoshop... also managed to locate the font Nintendo uses on the Wii U I've included it in the download.

All the files are there. just resize the icon picture to 118 x 88 and the screenshot picture to 402 x 302 and drag behind the background images to create other game art then export as .tga blabla

I added a white bessel to the text with "fx" + a drop shadow, but did with Photoshop, no idea how you could do with other image tool. The original banner is full of little details not easily spoted at first :P, typical Nintendoish.

Yours looks pretty good :)

The Simpsons: Road Rage

RoadRagePreview.png

Two part Rar. Has Gamecube logo as shown in which can replace the "Nintendo" one when it loads. Need both parts of the rar to open. Also added a .btsnd which is just the end of the intro where the car starts and they speed off.

Enjoy.

Luigi's Mansion Standard Art

Luigismansionpreview.png

This is a 2 part Rar. Both need to be dled to extract.
Added an intro theme in wav form ready to be transfered to the .btsnd in the Injection script. (is part of the intro theme)

To install just drop all of this in the SOURCE_FOLDER in the WiiVC Injector Script V 2.1.2 And you are ready to go.
(You will still need the game.gcm in there as well)

Edit: added the install instructions.

You can use the newest version of his script to get it to install that way. he supports that file now being in the SOURCE_FOLDER.

Thanks man, I was looking for v2.1.2 at this moment, but nothing on first page seems to talk about bootLogo.

Why don't we use Nintendont logo instead of Nintendo logo?

Nintendont GameCube Black.png Nintendont GameCube White.png

I found it pretty cool! Maybe I'm the only one lol Anyway I take no credit for this, Swanky is the one that did this logo, I just add two letters using Nintendo letters.

yall im torn... ive been hacking away at tales of phantasia GBA (the USA version) and have so many documents of reverse engineering i've done
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I just found out that the EU version is better in literally every way, better sound quality, better lighting, and there's even a patch someone made to make the text look nicer
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
Do I restart now using what i've learned on the EU version since it's a better overall experience? or do I continue with the US version since that is what ive been using, and if someone decides to play my hack, it would most likely be that version?
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
@TwoSpikedHands, I'll preface this with the fact that I know nothing about the game, but, I think it depends on what your goals are. Are you trying to make a definitive version of the game? You may want to refocus your efforts on the EU version then. Or, are you trying to make a better US version? In which case, the only way to make a better US version is to keep on plugging away at that one ;)
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
I'm not familiar with the technicalities of the differences between the two versions, but I'm wondering if at least some of those differences are things that you could port over to the US version in your patch without having to include copyrighted assets from the EU version
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
@Sicklyboy I am wanting to fully change the game and bend it to my will lol. I would like to eventually have the ability to add more characters, enemies, even have a completely different story if i wanted. I already have the ability to change the tilemaps in the US version, so I can basically make my own map and warp to it in game - so I'm pretty far into it!
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I really would like to make a hack that I would enjoy playing, and maybe other people would too. swapping to the EU version would also mean my US friends could not legally play it
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I am definitely considering porting over some of the EU features without using the actual ROM itself, tbh that would probably be the best way to go about it... but i'm sad that the voice acting is so.... not good on the US version. May not be a way around that though
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
    I appreciate the insight!

@TwoSpikedHands just switch, all the knowledge you learned still applies and most of the code and assets should be the same anyway
