Homebrew Backup Wii NAND > Use NAND with Dolphin > Change Wii Settings > Restore NAND?

I wanted to know if it's possible to backup the Wii NAND using BootMii, use it with the Dolphin emulator, change some Wii settings in Dolphin, then restore the NAND to the Wii (with BootMii). Will this corrupt Wii Shop Channel or anything else? Is it even possible? So far I've only seen backing up the Wii NAND and using it with Dolphin. I haven't seen anyone restoring the NAND that was modified with Dolphin back to the Wii console.

If it is possible, what am I able to do in Dolphin without corrupting anything? I don't plan on installing WADs or anything, just changing around some stuff. Should I use this tutorial for using the NAND with Dolphin if I do this?
