I purchased my R4i Gold last month but I had already updated my 3DS firmware to 4.5.0 and they only released the upgrade/patch for 4.4.0. My version is .eu. Are there any news/date speculations? Should I quit waiting and buy a .cn card?
Firmware updates will come from the site, if there's nothing on the site then there's nothing, but you can try emailing them.

Click on your profile pic in the top right corner, and you'll get the profile menu popup, with the profile icon highlighted at the top, and the "bookmarks" banner next to it in gray. Click on that icon and you'll get a list of your bookmarks.+2 -
