If you can get it to accept a 1.0 firmware.bin and boot it correctly. I'm not sure if it would since it's not made with that old firmware in mind and the very early firmware versions are very different from newer ones.
Nintendo rewrote firmware between 2.1 and 3.0. However, theoretically it wouldn't matter what version it's on if you boot without patches because it'll act more as a bootstrapper. Every other CFW applies patches which would probably break it, but Cakes won't apply any patches unless you tell it to.

@Nyap if you really want to do this here's what I'd do:
  1. Downgrade EmuNAND to 1.0 using PlaiSysUpdater CIA
  2. Use OTPHelper to unbrick EmuNAND if on n3ds
  3. Use Decrypt9 to restore EmuNAND to SysNAND and make sure to choose keep a9lh
  4. Setup Cakes and have it boot SysNAND, make sure you choose no patches or it probably won't work.

Doesn't PlaiSysUpdater only downgrade 9.2 and 2.1? Choosing either one would probably error right away because of the hash checking.
