Introduction

The homebrewhub will be the place to download all homebrew related content.
At this point though, we're only releasing the homebrew application page,
But there is more to come!

With this website, we're focusing to simplify the lives of both the user and the developer.

Current features

• Homebrew application listing:

We only display open source homebrew applications that has a release page on github.
This way we can always provide the latest versions, and don't interfere with the developers statistics on github, such as the download count.

Homebrew applications are currently listed in two categories, CIA and 3DSX. The download link is in a QR code format. this QR code always directs the user to the latest download.

These QR codes can be used by FBI's QR code install feature, QRWebLoader or other QR code download applications.
If the application need additional files to operate, then you'll need to download these manually since these QR code install applications only install the CIA itself.​

• Latest version QR

This feature may come handy to developers that create a thread, and want to post a QR-code to download their application.

the homebrew hub enables you to use a download link for the latest version of your application.
This download consists of the author of the homebrew application github nickname, and the project name.

The download link is:

• Cia: homebrewhub.xyz/latest/cia/<author>/<application>
• 3dsx: homebrewhub.xyz/latest/<author>/<application>

The Cia download for 2048-3D for example would be:

• homebrewhub.xyz/latest/cia/MrJPGames/2048-3D

These links respect the github download count, and work for the current qr code download applications.

As you may have seen, there is a ad on our website.
This ad is there for the sole purpose of funding the server.
Due to legal issues we can't accept donations,
And we feel like we don't have to fund a website build for the community completely by ourselves.

What you can do

At this point the most important thing is to expand our database.
Do you know an application that is hosted on git, and has a .3dsx/.cia file in their release?
Feel free to post a link in the comments!

We also need someone who can create a 3D banner from our logo.
If you can/will do this for us, leave a comment, then we'll send you the logo without the background.
We'll also need a second banner from something else!

I hate to say it, but if you start paying the devs for downloads, there will eventually be shady people trying to exploit the system, likely making things difficult for user and credible dev alike.

You're right, i'll put in there that it won't be much, and will clarify that we are using github's download count

We just link to the latest version of the github download. We don't host anything except for the site itself.

Wouldnt hosting on github.io or another free subdomain be easier ?
