This is great news for those wanting to purchase a cheap controller but weren't able to. Well, now they can. The only problem is that the 8 Bitdo controllers are meant for NES/SNES games so not adequate to play games which require too many buttons (would work fine with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, for example).

hmmmm tried that now and still no dice..

It can take a while for the first time connecting. Also try mashing buttons while on the controller connection screen, particularly the shoulder buttons. That seems to help me.

I dunno.. Been trying this for a while with no luck. Tried both without pressing pair for half an hour, and then again with pressing pair for the same. Neither seems to be doing anything even though it's blinking the 4 blinks cycle

Finally got it working. Turns out you have to restart the Switch first and then after that, it picks it up almost right away.

The good thing is once it pairs the first time, it seems to remember and work almost instantly every other time, at least in my testing
