Wait a bit... 2 Red Lights?

Something isn't quite right. It should be either one or three.

Have you tried to get the secondary error code?

No, it is overheating problems.

My plan of action is to send it to argos because I bought a warrenty from the argos along with my 360. Then use the License transfer when I get my new 360.

Really sucks

Is it that E74 error?

Gutted for you mate, I got lucky with my first 360, bought it at launch (dec 2005) & it lasted me till mid 2008. It did get 3rlod eventually but it was nearly 2 1/2 years old so it had a good innings.
When it finally went, I went out & got myself an Elite but i coulda picked up a replacement arcade for £99 uk.

If Argos wont give you any joy, stick the broken one on ebay & get to gamestation, £99!

I just packed it up and going to argos. If things go right I'll have a new 360 in no time.
Good luck mate. You should be able to blag the monkies that work at argos, they're usually quite young & retarded.

Overheating is NOT technically RROD. "RROD" is when a physical damage happens to the motherboard. If it only overheats, then everything is probably still in place.

Lemme understand... You can play fine for a while and then it does 2 Red Lights?

BTW, if you're sending it to Argos, I hope everything goes fine for you, otherwise remember that you can always PM me for repair advices

No i cant play fine, I turn it on and it automically goes to two red rings.

Argos wouldn't take it back i think, they said contact microshit. So I'm making a repair form thing

I got off the phone from a microsoft "agent". He said I should email the proof that I bought it on the 29th of april 2008. So i sent him a email and waiting for a phone call.

If I don't get this phone call then I'm going back to argos.

Take some comfort in the fact that the massive backlash against Microsoft over the predominance of faults forced them to adopt more amiable relations in customer support. I've still heard my share of horror stories even of late, but if you complain forcibly enough I consider it probable that you will get it resolved.

Although in my experience, waiting on a return call from any customer support staff is never a good idea unless it is expected immediately. Since the terms did not specify an appointment, I advise that you take the iniative to follow up and call them yourself. When you deal with somebody, request their extension or staff ID so you can have your calls forwarded to that person, and won't have to repeat details from your basic information to retelling your entire story. I personally consider it cumbersome to report my address, phone number, etc. before they've even approached the problem.

ACTUALLY Microsoft are pretty good with warrenty repairs so long as you can prove when you bought it and RROD is covered for 3 years anyhow
smile.gif

We sent ours back recently not for RROD but for the dvd drive not reading any disks or occasionally reading disks and not others they sent an email with printable UPS returns label and a collection date .. they picked it up on a Wednesday ... it was shipped over to Germany where the nearest Microsoft repairs centre is to the UK and we got it back the following Wednesday the dvd drive replaced the console cleaned up and cleaned out and the clip on facia replaced with pristine brand new one

despite Microsucks flaws they have good customer service from this experience
