Hardware 3DS XL Painting Scratches

Hello, I noticed that my 3DS XL (red) has some small scratches on the top housing just below the cameras. Is there any paint that you recommend me to buy so I can fix it? If yes, can you post a link (for UK)?

I was JUST about to ask this very same question. I have a silver 3DS XL and it has some small scratches on it as well.

Edit: Oh, except that I need a place in the US.

You can buy replacement housing on eBay now. Costs roughly usd 35-50

Isn't that a little much just to repair a few paint scratches? Will something bad happen to the system if we use matching paint?

Btw, mine is the Mario and Luigi silver 3DS XL.

anyone noticed this console is so easly scratched? i have a ds lite and i had a gbc they felled like hard plastic, 3dsxl got really skinny plastic easly damaged :C

thats because the xl has painted plastic with mat colours which can be scratched easy. the ds is tinted pastic.

So what's the matching color for the silver 3DS XL? I imagine it's something in matte, but what color specifically?

a Vinyl Decal sticker thing would probably cover up those scratch marks pretty good and there quite cheap I love this pikachu one

I literally got mine yesterday and it's already scratched, but I didn't do anything to it.

When not playing it, I slid mine in its carrying case in sleep mode, and let it charge. But I suppose not everyone is responsible as I am.

Just buy a skin instead of painting it chances are that the color won't match the one on the ds.

Paint generally doesn't stick very well to plastic. But you could try.

I kept that foam envelope for months and months until it finally split down the side, then I finally bought a case for it. XD

I've been handling my 3DS with latex gloves inside a foam padded sterile clean room.

Rage quit a few games and chucked it on the padded floor. Still perfect.

Then I finally sought out psychiatric help and got a clear tpu case for it.
