Hi everyone:
Ok... I have downloaded all the free software avaliable in thr 3ds e-shop since its release like the e3 videos and exitebike etc...
However after awhile when i tried to open them (this was around 3 months after downloaded) they wouldnt load it got stuck on that 3ds screen that comes up when opening them.
My question is this- the exitebike software is no longer free and videos arnt on the shop anymore so am i safe to delete and redownload using the already downloaded option in the settings or will i lose the software on my 3ds. And my 2nd problem is that when i open pokedex it loads and says that i have new data but when i click yes to download it, it just stays on the recieving data screen. I really dont want to redownload pokedex as i dont want to lose all the data ive collected.
Does anyone know why this is happenin it is a real big problem for me. I have a strange susspicion that it is a problem with the SD card.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advanced.

Edit- Also i had to download some of the ambassador games twice because they gave me the same problem.

Yes i know that i can redownload them but it is time consuming and annoing so i was just wondering if anyone had experienced this problem and how to fix it. My internet connection is fine and was fine when i downloaded the titles. With exitebike its almost like its 'getting old' and refusing to load. The weird thing is that with the case of exitebike i had it on my 3ds for months and all of a sudden it stopped working(same with e3 trailers). Now that i think about it i did backup some photos on the sd card to my computer could that have stuffed up the software loading? Also is there away to backup my savefile for pokedex and if i delete pokedex and redownload it wii my data still be there?

After reading this, I think you have a problem with the SD card.

My SD once popped out and the game lags like hell. I reinserted and it worked fine.

One more question- If i coiped my entire sd card just for a backup purpose would it effect the contents and give me a result like the problem i have now?

Also should i try a different sd card- the way i mentioned above?

If you copy the whole thing (to your computer?) it should be fine.

Try a different SD card and see if it works.

OK i did what you suggested and it still wouldnt load so does that mean that i should conclude that it didnt install correctly? and what was to blame the internet or the sd card for the bad instillation.
Note- My brother has a 3ds and his downloaded and ran without a problem... Also the sd card im using wasnt the one it came with so does that icrease the chances that it is the sd c ard?

I still believe it's the SD card...

Unless it's the system... When you first bought it was it okay?

The contents of the SD card are individual to the SD card.
This is just to check whether or not your SD slot is broken (somehow).

I would copy all the files to my pc to back them up. Then I would format the sd card with the panasonic sd formatter (http://panasonic.jp/support/global/cs/sd/download/index.html). I use 2.0 but I suppose 3.0 would work as well. Then copy the files back to the sd card. It might help....couldn't hurt.

Thanks- I bought a new sd card problem so hopefully that will work better and if not then it must be something wrong with the actual 3ds or if it downloaded wrong.

I wonder if that was the point of game streaming

    But it's a dead end

@Psionic Roshambo, people who cant download it can still play the game

If your internet speeds are fast enough. Streaming 4k takes alot. I used to only have 20mb sec, and 4k struggled. Now I have 300mb sec and 4k plays fine.

I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

Or free government supplied high speed internet be nice also. Like Obama care. Xdqwerty that's cool, its time consuming but rewarding once done or playable, to see what you've made from scratch. Animations take forever, but worth it.

    @BigOnYa,
and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.
