My UNCOMPARABLE "Google skillz" dug up this flashcart that is in stock.

It boast the amazing feature of "Build in 3 set separate RTC" (Complete with Engrish) which should excite some people.
It also serves as a proprietary storage device for their obscure console flashcarts.
If this site isn't trustworthy, however, sorry about that.
Tell me what you think!

I am not sure what goes with later Neoflash GBA devices. The first ones were largely rebadged XG flash carts, which were a fine line in GBA flash carts (not the best* but more than acceptable). Not many people really looked into Neoflash's later GBA slot stuff (they were the first main DS flash carts and they earned a lot of bad will for their actions there), though if it is going cheap ($89 is not especially cheap for what it is) then I would not expect bad things.

ic2005 have been around for years as well ( http://web.archive.org/web/20050720005349/http://www.ic2005.com/ ), I am never quite sure what they are doing these days though. I still have quite a few old flash cart sites that people keep the domains and hosting renewed for, however the prices tend not to reflect the modern world.

*mainly in support/updates and to some extent the build quality, nothing close to what we saw with the DS and the lows there but when you were spending GBA flash cart money it mattered.

Yeah, when I saw the steep price I thought that was a downside. It would probably be one of the only things preventing me from buying this. Bad build quality is something I would expect. My DSTWO didn't have the best build quality, although they might have done that on purpose. I will consider this, because ONE GIGABYTE? Wow.

That is not a gigabyte, it is a gigabit, or 128 megabytes if you prefer. GBA flash carts (and ROMs) tended to be measured in megabits.

When I said bad build quality I did not mean like some of the cheap and nasty stuff we saw on the DS. The XG stuff used suitable plastics and designs with them, however they were not quite as nice as some of the others. Also the DStwo was probably one of the better made DS flash carts, the extra chips did not help it but I would not call it badly made compared to some of the R4 clones, the DSTT/TTDS and some batches of ak2is.

Better made in terms of design and what it can do, yes. In terms of build quality, not really. There was that entire batch that had problems with some systems but not others, and the casing on the thing is the worst I've seen on a DS cart, on mine one of the corners chipped off just with regular use, none of the other flashcarts I've used have done that. My DSTT is definitely better built than my DSTWO.

I will consider this, because ONE GIGABYTE? Wow.

I'd be cautious and make sure it's not actually one gigabit, an eighth of what you're expecting, before you pay that much for it.

Sure thing.

Reasonable logic considering the past, but they also use it as a proprietary rom storage device for their N64 flashcart. Never mind, I'm an idiot.

i thought everybody knew cocktails are like 75% ice
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Yeah but not like this.
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's not like they're complaining that their Slurpee is 99% ice or something, but if the cocktail calls for "shot of vodka, shot of vermouth, shot of gin, shot of Campari, three shots of juice, squirt of lemon" and ends up being a thimbleful of booze, that's a problem.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
the funny thing is cocktails in norway are only allowed to have 1 20ml shot of booze
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    so..... yeah
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
we're used to only having a thimbleful of booze

same thing if you want whisky on the rocks or something, you can't get a double
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but you could buy as many shots of whisky (or anything else) as you want and ask for a glass of ice and pour them in

    it's dumb

    Maybe.

There was a comparison of the number of Ibuprofen poisonings before and after they limited the maximum dosage per box or per pill (i'll look that up). No limit on the number of boxes you can still buy as many as you want, so people argued it was pointless.
  • Veho @ Veho:
But the number of (accidental) poisonings dropped because drinking an entire package of ibuprofen pills went from "I need a new liver" to "I need a new box of Ibuprofen".
  • Veho @ Veho:
Here we have ketoprofen that used to be prescription-only because of the risk of toxic dosages, but then they halved the dose per pill and sell them in bottles of six pills apiece instead of twenty and it doesn't need a prescription any more. Yes you can buy more than one bottle but people simply don't.

Usually accidentally overdose of ibuprofen here is from people taking like cold medicine then ibuprofen for a headache and the combination is over what they need
