    Hacking Switch firmware 3.0.2 released.

That super depends. We really could end up in a PS3 type situation. I do really wish someone would find a trick for going online. I'm sure the paid subscription coming out next year will complicate things further. And a nice banwave isn't out of the question I guess, if we even get that far.

Hacking DNS to block the updates of the switch!

Are factory resets in general supposed to force an update? And to be clear, do you think your list of services blocked would let an old 2.3.0 system get online? I'm just looking for a way.

Hacking DNS to block the updates of the switch!

Does this let you actually still do anything?

    Hacking Switch firmware 3.0.2 released.

So I've got a new in box switch currently on 2.3.0. Is there any chance Monster Hunter XX will be able to go online and somehow avoid updates? I figured its online might be a bit more forgiving than Splatoon, etc. If I access internet with automatic updates disabled from System Settings, will...

Hacking DNS to block the updates of the switch!

I just got a Switch (Monster Hunter edition!) that came on 2.0.3. So of course I'm wondering about the current state of this. Is there anything at all that can be done in terms of enabling online multiplayer and still blocking updates? I figured if I'm really lucky XX would only need Capcom's...

Homebrew Official [Release] GodMode9 - All Access File Browser for the 3DS

Yeah I need to brush up on my extract/rebuild. For some reason I was losing ~4 megabytes off the cia just trying earlier. Maybe the code.bin question it asks, idk. I'll get it eventually. Does Luma currently stay on top of patching those checks out, and is that by default? I must also confess I...

Homebrew Official [Release] GodMode9 - All Access File Browser for the 3DS

Fooling around on 9.8. Today I ran into something that actually wouldn't boot, which is odd since I basically haven't hit something that wouldn't before. No special reason, kind of doing this for fun, but I do think that fw spoofing remains an underrated cia building option.

Homebrew Official [Release] GodMode9 - All Access File Browser for the 3DS

Is there any possible way to firmware spoof a CIA from within GodMode9? Or is hex editing still an actual requirement? I'm just fooling around with fw9.8 and wondering about this Monster Hunter XX data converter getting stuck on the looping red screen. Seems like there should technically be a...

ROM Hack [Release] Monster Hunter Double Cross English UI Patch

That's great, getting in some practice for the Switch version!

Homebrew UPDATE: Regarding the recent 3DS banwave

I have four systems on firmware 9.8, a9lh. Most of the time these are exclusively used to play Monster Hunter, most recently MHXX. I do pass my save between them frequently, I do play online frequently. Three had SpotPass enabled. Anyway I finally decided to quit Schrödingering around, only to...

ROM Hack [Release] Monster Hunter Double Cross English UI Patch

Haha, I wasn't expecting these to be the "only two games" they referred to not working!

@kharaq yes the patch is compatible with the cartridge

CDJapan is my favorite place to order from. Play-Asia and Amazon also have it. EMS shipping can be very fast.

ROM Hack [Release] Monster Hunter Double Cross English UI Patch

@ngtunganh I would assume NTR will run over your patched cia just fine.

Homebrew [Release] Homebrew Launcher with grid layout

I have the second to last version of Gridlauncher's boot.3dsx and can confirm the one located here has an identical hash, and should work fine for everyone. Does anyone know of a true fork that is continuing this project? https://github.com/d0k3/3DS-Extended-Homebrew-Starter-Pack

ROM Hack [Release] Monster Hunter Double Cross English UI Patch

Just a suggestion, I think anyone referencing issues should mention which version of the patch they're running at the time.

ROM Hack [Release] Monster Hunter Double Cross English UI Patch

This should totally work with the cartridge, but in order to run off pure Homebrew rather than CFW, I guess HANS would have to actually see the light of an update.

ROM Hack [WIP] MHX Translation Patch (ENG)

Couldn't have gotten anything done if you hadn't made those suggestions. Thanks for the quick and informative response. So yes, I wasn't paying attention to how my patches were saying Version: 3152 (3.5.0) in FBI when they should read 3168 (3.6.0). I simply needed to use the command -minor 6...

ROM Hack [WIP] MHX Translation Patch (ENG)

Thanks for that. Shame I can't seem to roll the patch into Update 1.3, despite having all the old tools for doing it. Following the old method and installing the cia simply results in the game still saying "A software update is available." and a looping 3DS launch screen. I just felt like seeing...
