    Hardware Another Broken Xbox - E74 (1022)

I've got an Xbox from 2008 that was given to me which currently isn't working. It's got the infamous "E 74" screen. So far I have taken it apart, cleaned out the dust, and replaced the thermal compound. The unit still starts up to the "E 74" screen. I did the Eject/Sync combo to receive an...

Homebrew WiiMC RELEASED!!! (Wii Media Center)

I've got about 10k tracks in my music folder and they seem to play without any issue. I have all of my music separated out by artist/album though, so at most I'm displaying 30 tracks at a time. WiiMC has a pretty intuitive on the fly playlist creator built right in, so it's still easy to...

Homebrew WiiMC RELEASED!!! (Wii Media Center)

Awesome job so far guys. I'm switching from Geexbox to this as it seems an obvious change. My Wii is always laggy on larger (1-2gb) MKV files. Is this normal? Any chance for XVID support? Is there support for Video Playlists? I'd love to set it to play an entire season of whatever show I'm...

    Hacking Configurable USB Loader

I've got the same drive and have very few issues. It does take a few seconds to spin up if you just plugged it in, and any drive would have to wait at this point. If you are referring to the drive being idle and powering down while not in use then you can fix that. The drive comes with its...

    Hacking USB Loader / Launcher

I personally use (and love) USB Configurable Loader. I have a Seagate 1.5TB drive with multiple partitions: -- 1gb for loader files (should have made it smaller) -- 500gb for WBFS (wii games) -- 900gb for NTFS (movies, tv, music) I should have made my WBFS partition smaller, I've got about 110...

Hacking Wii Linux now with WIFI!

Can someone give a run down of what this will actually allow the general user to do? What linux applications that are worth having will be capable of running on the Wii using this? I apologize ahead of time as I am less than a Linux novice, and thanks for any details you can post!

    Hacking Wiipod

I'll admit, I'd love to see this app see the light of day but the more I read the more I think it doesn't exist. Maybe something good will come of this and if Crissm doesn't make it another coder will once they see that it is wanted... Wishful thinking? Maybe... :/

    Hacking Wiipod

Feature Request: PowerHour/Centurion - This is a drinking game where you take a shot of beer each minute for 60/100 minutes. If you were to implement this feature it would be awesome to have it choose tracks at random, start in a random place within each track, and automatically change tracks...

    Homebrew Media Players (MPlayer/GeexBox)

OK, but as I said in the OP I have tried GeexBox's aspect ratios and it doesn't help. It's more like the program doesn't recognize that the screen actually goes as wide as it does. MPlayer CE does the same thing, and the quality is the same on both as well.

    Hacking Configurable USB Loader

I have the GH3 wireless guitar and RB2 on my WBFS drive, I however do not have 222/223 installed at all. My guess is that it is either the 222/223 causing the problem or that you probably have a Western Digital HDD that is spinning down while you are playing. I rarely get the freezing problem...

    Homebrew Media Players (MPlayer/GeexBox)

I recently got a 32" flat panel LCD TV and hooked up my trustworthy Wii to it. I changed the Wii system menu option to "Widescreen" and the Wii's system menu and Homebrew menu display using the entire screen, this is good. However when I try and watch movies using either GeexBox (preferred...

Hacking Western Digital Passport or Seagate Freeagent Go?

Western Digital drives have "SPIN DOWN" which cannot be turned off. Get the Seagate... I have a Seagate 1.5TB drive and it works awesome with both my Wii WBFS and my PC (using 3 partitions).
