That's a violation of the rules, though.

I wholeheartedly disagree with this decision as I feel that it allows anyone to determine what is and isn't offensive. I can guarantee that the majority of post deletions will be derived from differing opinions, and blogs will just become echo chambers. If you can't handle the internet, stay off of it.

Well, like costello said, anyone that misuses the delete function will suffer disciplinary action. I think in the beginning there will be quite a few disputes, but in time people will see what moderators have to deal with. Walking that fine line between opinion that may be personally offensive and actual offensive behavior that breaks the rules. I think it will be good for a learning experience and will show those that claim gbatemp is cancerous that most of that cancer is in how they react to situations.

Unfortunately, there's a lot of nuance necessary, which I think many here can't grasp.

Personally I'd just let anyone post in my blog posts. Anything that is counterproductive will be deleted only if it doesn't contribute to the post.
I don't mind differing opinions, but don't be a dick either.
