Is it even possible to rip a paid Appx? I know its possible to get the url of a free Appx but what about a paid one?
you can rip it easy even if it downloads as an eappx (encrypted appx also used by play everywhere games) you can dump all the gamefiles from the run time and recompile it to an appx using this method you can dump play everywhere and essentially pirate play everywhere games and play them in dev mode

When you say updated PSX, do you mean the latest update (1.1.6) or the one from months ago?

there is one member of the comunity who is highly against it though
Why? for piracy reasons? there's really nothing to be against. I think there are only ten titles that support "Play Anywhere" so its not as if its going to open the flood gates to piracy or anything :P and of the 10 titles there are maybe 2 or 3 worth playing imo..

also it contains triple a games like gears of war and re core
Looking through the list Resident Evil 7 is compatible too :P for that game along is worth it for me. I already bought Cuphead..
But most likely as soon as a method to play these games in Devmode becomes public MS will be all over it.

.. Because he's a cocky little fruit. Did he build these emulators himself?.. Or are they based on others?

I happen to be one of those people against pirating Play Anywhere games.

I'm not exactly against piracy. I am against piracy for active developers. If I cannot purchase the game from the publisher or developer, I do not wish to purchase the game at all.

For example: I recently acquired a fat PS2 and planned on buying all of the games I want to play. However, I cannot purchase them from the developers or the publishers anymore. I must purchase them secondhand from a secondhand retailer like Disc Replay. As the developer or publisher isn't seeing a cent of the profit that Disc Replay is getting from me, I refuse to do this. So I setup FreeHDBoot and started pirating games.

Had I been able to purchase discs from the people that made the game or even the people that put it on disc, I would have. But I couldn't. And for reasons I've already explained, I refuse to buy them so some other company can profit. So I steal them. Really, if Disc Replay didn't buy games at $3 each and turn around and sell them for $35-40, I'd have no problem buying games from them. But they're getting 1,000% markup and not even sharing. So any chance I can get to hurt their business model, I usually take it.

But yeah, since these PA games are still being published I am against piracy for them. I can't stop you from doing you, but i won't be partaking in pirating these games.

There are use to people who bought the game like the ability to play certain retail games in Dev mode
