Hacking Flash M3i Zero using the 3DS?

Heyo-a there!

Just wanted to make a quick question that I can't seem to find anywhere.

I have a M3i Zero card. But I never flashed it, because the programming cable that came with it was defective and I couldn't return the card. So I have been stuck with it like that and still, for like... 3 years lol

After I saw all the stuff regarding NTRBootHax, I can see that the 3DS can flash stuff to the cards, so, here's the quick question:

Is there a possibility that I may be able to flash the card's firmware using the 3DS in the future?

I know that the card is outdated but... I always wanted to make it work as I just can't buy another one.

I tried to run the .nds that can flash the card using TWLoader, but apparently it doesn't write to the card, so the app tells me "unsupported card" referring to the 3DS's SD card as that's what TWLoader was using.

I also tried to run it from the card itself but all I get is just a white screen.

Hope I can do something with this card in the future, because I still feel dumb for buying it in the first place. Thank u!!!

Even if you did somehow flash the proper firmware to the card it wouldn't work anyway. That card hasn't worked since like 2012 and you can't even buy it anymore so unless one of the devs of NTRBootHaX has one to RE I highly doubt you'll ever be able to use it. Why you can't just buy another flashcard for $20? That's half the price of a 3DS game, you buy those don't you?

That's an old ass card and stopped receiving updates over five years ago. I highly doubt anyone is going to attempt to bring something like that back from the dead vs telling you to just go buy an R4 and toss it.

I hope they at least manage to get NTRBootHax if the devs have a card too so it becomes useful for once hahaha

I think that there is some kind of bug or something so that it doesn't work when it's integrated into ntrboot_flasher. But there are .nds files in there which can be used with GMP-Z003 cards.

The card should work again with a custom firmware. It unblocks this and many other flashcards.

The cart did have an updater, but it would require the devs to actually have the cart itself in order to make it work with NTRBoot. So unless they already have it, someone would actually have to donate their cart to them.
The only thing is though, it does have to be a working cart for them to work on. Coupled with the demand to see this cart actually worth supporting. You can't even buy this cart anymore and the community/team around the cart are both long dead. So it might not even be worth working on when you can get basically anything else for cheap and with support.

The m3i zero gmp-z003 is already kinda supported with nds files because the flasher integration didn't work for some reason. The non-gmp-z003 model is not supported.

Interesting, I didn't know that until now. I wish I had a cart to test, but the gmp-z003 was released a buggy mess and most M3 users who already had an older M3 Real/i Zero tended to avoid the gmp-z003.

i have to buy a r4i rts (or how it is called) because i only have R4 SDHC Dualcore 2014 and M3 DS Real....... and a powersaves (but this method still isnt complete)
