Cool. Good luck, dude. The more coders the better :)

Are you sure it removes the normal vita memory card after mounting adapter to ux0:/???
Your post drove me to look into it. I'm pretty new to vita scene, and I'm much more familiar with 3DS.
Aurora has a good write-up about it. http://wololo.net/2017/07/25/review-sridents-sd2vita-adapter-psvita/

Here are the key portions related to mounting of drives:
Those who opt to use the adapter as ux0: will have their Vita memory card mounted as uma0:
My microSD card mounted as uma0:
For those opting to use their microSD as ux0:, I recommend you copy your tai folder to ur0: but in my case, using ux0:tai worked as I’m using my adapter as uma0:

I also tried using the adapter as ux0 by copying some folders over from my Vita memory card and stuff seemed to work just fine too. Age of Zombies, an official game, worked just fine off the SD2Vita adapter and I couldn’t spot any longer loading times. Adrenaline also worked just fine (I copied the adrenaline folder to ur0 and the microSD so that there aren’t any path changes when adrenaline.skprx is initially loaded, I changed the adrenaline plugin path to ur0 too in config.txt). mGBA, an emulator, also worked well. Make sure check your file paths in taiHEN’s config.txt and have all your plugins in ur0: since path changes will not let taiHEN start up properly. It’s not recommended you only copy parts of the Vita memory card to the microSD adapter as you’ll just be asking for trouble especially if you forget VitaShell. Either copy the whole Vita memory card to your microSD or don’t do it at all. HENkaku R6 can get you out of any bad situations as it doesn’t use taiHEN’s plugin folder.

Also a good suggestion from Aurora. She stated:
On the software side of things, I would also like to see some utility (a la Applications Storage Manager but for uma0) that lets you move applications from ux0: to uma0: or the other way round to cater for those that don’t have a microSD card larger than their Vita memory card or simply want to use their Vita memory card for some reason.

I'm a long-time lurker and I respect your posts. And again, I'm new to the Vita scene so please correct me if I'm wrong.
and now i dont get anything thanks !

sooo you can use both at the same time???
if you ve some games on the Sd card and you want to play them... you could transfer them.to the Vita micro sd card (in that case you could use the space of the micro sdcard...) i ve a 64 gb microsonysdcard... sooo tbh i domt want to lose it...... i want to use it with the adapter...

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

so
You can use the SD2Vita as uma0:/ (Gamecard memory) and use the normal vita memory card as memory or you could use it as ux0:/, which eliminates the need for the vita memory card.

Edit: if you chose to use the SD2Vita as ux0:/ you can no longer use the vita memorycard as normally that's bound to ux0:/

i could install the games on the adapter sdcard?? and still use the vita microsdcard with other games???
or am i wrong now

(sorry i am completly confused now )

Hi,
1. So Could i use vitacard + sd2vita card + yifanLu 3gsdcard in the same time for my games ? Or only one and the others just for space content ? If so it'll be :nayps3:

2. Axiom verge, darkest dungeon, etc will still be unreadable ? No progress in firm >3.60 ?
Thx

Neat! Been counting down the days left occasionally since it was announced, but I already opted to install the beta which turned out to be very stable for me anyway, and I've been really enjoying not having to visit the website on every reboot.

I wonder if there will be any extra features not present in the betas apart from just more stability...

Henkaku, but autobooting (whether it's closer in implementation style to menuhax, a9lh, or sighax is something I don't know)
I hope it'll be perfect or near perfect bootrate. If it's going to be like menuhax then there's really no point other than for a stepping stone. Cause then you're way better off with using the browser.

Well, menuhax worked 90% of the time on my consoles :3 which is a lot better than PSTV browserhax with 1 bar (only the dot) of signal!
But I meant that more as in "exploit in the operating system instead of lower level"

Yep.
The question got asked before and the answer is the same.
It's either the SD2Vita as ux0:/ or the SD2Vita as uma0:/ and the Vita memory card as ux0:/.
They can't be both at the same time.

Refer to above.
But yes, you can install games to the SD adapter if you set it as ux0:/
Just make a backup of your Vita memory card and copy everything over from the rest of the memorycard via Vitashell.
Then follow the tutorial that Aurora wrote, that Trumposaurus linked previously and copy everything back.
Your SD2Vita is now ux0:/ (your vita memorycard) and your actual Vita memorycard is "useless".

You can't use the Vita memorycard and SD2Vita adapter at the same time.
And I'm pretty sure that yifans PSVSD (the 3G SD card adapter) will also be mounted as ux0:/ so you'll be unable to do that as well.

"(for 3.60 and below anyway)" - are you implying that there is a version restriction? Because there's not. 3.60 can play all vita games.

I was under the impression the latest games wouldn't work if they required >3.60.

How do you dump games higher than 3.60? Can you use a 3.60 vita to dump them?

Your first statement is correct. That was a case of someone not paying attention to the scene and stickies. Games that require 3.61 or higher firmware for normal play cannot be dumped or played through HENkaku.

To others do not start with the "but you can dump assets" line. Yes I know that's possible on 3.61 games to make patches with an insane amount of work, but you cannot dump these games into an installable/playable format at all.

Bottom line: games requiring 3.61, 3.63, or 3.65 firmware for normal play can not be played on HENkaku Vitas. This is how it will be for the foreseeable future unless someone works on making all of the dumpers and HENkaku itself work on those firmwares which, as of now, is not being worked on. At least not publicly anyways.

had this in the back of my mind, nice to realize how close it is now :)

vita just collects dust at this point though...i hate that you can't update pirated copies so i kinda just stopped. only thing i ever really wanted is the pro yakyu games for it.

and totally forgot i have a pstv lol only 4gb on that thing though i suppose i could use USB storage...dang im out of the loop in the psv scene
Yeah i'm guessing no one cared enough to try to figure out how to update pirated copies of games which sucks because the rare times people do actually upload ps vita games, they either have the base update which might be outdated and the person never bothered to upload the newest update for the game or games are never uploaded with any updates at all.

So do you recommend setting up the Vita2SD card as ux0, if your SD card is larger than the Vita memory card? I want to put a 64GB or 128GB microSD in my SD2VITA adapter so should i mount it as ux0?

Yes, at which point you don't need the original memecard anymore
