Let's create epic stories/games, share them and discuss about the maker in general in this thread.

To start the conversation: Somebody should create a homebrew tool which allows you to draw (like "Pixel Paint"), share and import custom sprites.

I read this game lack of tutorials and hard to go back to fix mistakes is that true?

The game has tutorials (when you hover over the game symbol in the 3DS main menu, you can choose between "Start" or "Manual" (the exact wording can vary since I'm using my 3DS with german system language)). IMO the tutorials are easy to understand and explain pretty much every feature in the game.

I keep getting errors about not having DLC when trying to use the player... o.O

That is strange. Maybe you try to play a game which isn't from your region (which uses region exclusive DLC)? It should download the DLCs needed for the game automatically for free (even the paid DLC (you only have to pay for it if you want to build your own games with it)).

I've been waiting for this game for quite some time. I am so excited to make my own RPG's for the 3DS. I've played around with the PC version but it was a little too much for me. I find this version to be more streamlined. I just wish I could add my own files, like music, and a little more character customization, but that would defeat the purpose of being a simpler version.

On a related note, does someone know if the DLC is out yet for the American version? I haven't hear from it at all since launch.

What's your handle? So I'll know it's your project?

I currently try to extract a DLC and find out which file formats they use. The end goal is that I'm able to import my own music, tilesets etc. in an existing DLC to create a custom DLC. I'm not even sure if thats possible, maybe they use a cryptic file extensions within the cia only NIS America has the tools to edit them, or the individual files could be encrypted within the DLC with an unknown algorithm - everything is possible. But if that's done somebody should create a midi/image editor + custom DLC creator to create our own ressources on the go.

That sounds feasible. I was having the same thoughts but I am not very savvy on the file edition department. I hope the file extensions are not hard to crack.

Seems many are having that DLC notice problem...
I can't wait to see how many people trying to rewrite old game titles.
Since I haven't bought it I wouldn't know here's a question for anyone who has, are turn-based style RPGs similar to advance Wars or Fire Emblem possible on RPG Maker Fes? Iow tactical positioning?

If so I have to get a copy of this

Not from what I've play so far, you can only make standard RPG's. Since this game doesn't have the customization of the PC version I don't think it would be possible to do so. It would be a cool concept though, maybe someone will be able to modify the game to such length in the future or something o3o.
