If you can find an older version of OpenIV, then follow LowSpecGamer's tutorial on performance mods for GTAV. You will NOT be able to play online... not like online is even worth it at this point...
Note: You may need to downgrade GTAV for the mods to work, not too sure.

Apparently, if you have OpenIV already installed and you update it to the latest, the C&D notice to uninstall OpenIV as been removed

Did you bother looking at the game system requirements before purchasing, cause is mandatory to list minimum requirements. :mellow:
You don't need to use any mods to get good performance, your laptop will work just fine on around medium specs at 1080p

My Surface Book runs GTA V on a slightly custom 940M at 720p/60fps no problems at all low, so surely your GPU should work just fine.
