Okay. I've tried pretty much everything.

I have a Windows Laptop with OBS, a male-to-male AUX cable, a headphone splitter (turns one audio jack into two), and, obviously, a 3DS (Old XL).

I can hear the audio but my laptop, and more importantly OBS, can not. I've gone into Sound settings, Audio device settings, control panel, pretty much everything I can think of. Any tips I might be missing?

i bought a dual jack for this. its a usb with one jack for headset and one for mic. you want to connect your 3ds via mic since you want your 3ds sound to be picked up.
