Hacking I got a 1.1.0-0 firmware 3ds, can i still cfw?

What kind of R4i do you have? You might be able to flash an update to it that allows it to work with 3DS 4.4. If not, your cheapest option (assuming you have no friends with homebrew access) would be to buy a compatible DS flashcart for $8 or whatever.

It's best for you tro try to update it up to 4. possibly by cart upgrading. I don't believe you can actually hack your 3DS with 1.1.0-0. You will also need a DS card for MSET.

OP has already used a game cartridge to update to 4.4.

If you have access to one of these games, you don't need Soundhax if you update to 9.0-11.0: https://3ds.guide/homebrew-launcher-(alternatives)/

I asked if you had access to another 3DS with CFW because some of the exploits are secondary exploits and require it.

If you don't have access to any of the games required for these exploits, then buying a cheap DS flashcart for around $8 or $9 is your best bet.

Which flashcart do you have specifically? It might be updatable to support 3DS 4.4.

After you update to 9.0-11.2, and assuming the Smash Bros. cartridge is the right version, yes.

No, it does not. The list of Homebrew entry points has a column for what each one supports.

There should be a website printed on you r4i and even if it's down you can search this forum for firmware to make it work.
If it has 3ds printed on it I think it will, post a pic...

Oh my! You've got firmware 1.1.0-0?! That's actually a really ancient firmware version. I would preserve that firmware version, if I were you. Use a different Nintendo 3DS console for hacks, until there's an exploit available to access Homebrew on that firmware and then dump the 1.1.0-0 NAND, so then it can be used for researching future exploits.

Aww, it really would've been nice if there was at least one ancient firmware preserved. Ah well, then the OP just needs to proceed on with installing via MSET (since web browser won't available, due to cart updates not updating apps like Soundhax).
