Alright, if I understood correctly, all I have to do is save the convo as .bin.lz and then just put it in that folder, right? But what do you mean with "rebuild the romfs folder into a file again"?

Also, I want to save a convo for MU, but I can't seem to figure out which file is for that, as the Editor saves it as "username" and there's nothing like that in the @E folder. Tried to search for it using "Kamui" with the corresponding japanese characters but to no avail. And I'm pretty sure UV has added at least a couple M!Corrin supports.

In order to actually make use of the changes you've made, you'll need to rebuild the romfs folder with a program like RomFS Builder. You would select the romfs folder with RomFS Builder and let RomFS Builder do its thing, then name the resulting file ########.romfs. For instance, if you have the special edition of Fates, it would be named 00179800.romfs. Then you can place it on your SD card and load it with HANS. This video explains how to do it really well, just skip ahead to the part that pertains to building the romfs file.

In regard to your second question:

プレイヤー女 = Female Corrin
プレイヤー男 = Male Corrin

You'll have to use one of those in the file name, and I do believe in the actual text of the .bin.lz file. Do you know how to edit the .bin.lz file by hand? It requires FEAT to turn it into a text file first (or, at least, that's my way of doing it).

EDIT: Wait... where is the romfs folder again...? Man, I'm feeling really dumb. Sorry.

...Okay, I have to ask. Did you use braindump to dump your cartridge? Because that, plus using a tool such as RomFS Extractor, would have given you a romfs folder. Have you implemented the Gay Fates hack before? I'm not sure where you're at right now, honestly.

Ooh, but that's using the HANS method right? I actually managed to get and play the hack via NTR, so my folders are looking a bit different. I don't really know if I have to do any of that with how NTR implements the hack...

Alright, now I found the MU files. Thanks you for that.

Hm... no, I don't really know how... I'll check that out then.

Yeah, I use HANS. Sorry about the confusion! I'm not sure how NTR does it either, but you're leagues ahead of me for being able to implement it. I was just like "Screw it, HANS is less terrifying, gonna go with that."

Okay, in regard to editing the files by hand:
1. Get FEAT. Run it.
2. Drag and drop the .bin.lz file you want to edit onto the gray box.
3. Two extra files should appear: .bin and .txt, ignore the .bin one.
4. Open the .txt file, make any edits necessary. Use "legitimate" files to compare if necessary so you can see what works.
5. When you're done, save the .txt file, then close it. Drag and drop it back on to the gray box, hit 'Yes'.
6. Open the .bin.lz file in the Conversation Editor to check how it looks.
7. Test it in-game.

That's how I do it, anyway. It's worked pretty well. There might be a way easier way but this is what I'm familiar with.

Don't worry. But NTR was easier than I thought actually, maybe you'll want to check it out.

Thank you very much! I'll try doing that when I have the time.

Where place exactly the resources folders of Awakening and Fates ? I try to change the placement but when I run the editor, nothing appears, only the voice (which not work) and the background.

Somebody can share his folder ?

Someone sharing their folder tree would be great, I agree.

All righty then.

Okay, first of all, I downloaded the Conversation Editor twice: once for Awakening and once for Fates, so I could keep them separate. Like this:

C:\Gaming\Fire Emblem Awakening - Hacks\Tools\Conversation Editor v1.2.1
C:\Gaming\Fire Emblem Fates - Hacks\Tools\Conversation Editor v1.2.1

The reason I'm mentioning this is because I had an error with the Fates folders when I tried to boot up the Conversation Editor for it, but not with the Awakening folders when I tried the same thing. The error was this: it couldn't find the Fates resources that I downloaded, but located the Awakening resources just fine, despite both having been downloaded the same way and put in the same relative locations. With Awakening no troubleshooting was needed, obviously. Following the instructions worked just fine. But with Fates, I needed to make a copy of the 'bin' folder in this location: Conversation Editor v1.2.1\resources\fates

And then put that copy in this location: Conversation Editor v1.2.1\resources\global

So if anyone's having an error where the program can't find the resources, well, that's the solution that worked for me. Now, for my folder trees. I'm just going to give my Fates ones, because they are identical to the Awakening ones save for the fact that the Fates 'global' folder has that 'bin' folder in it and Awakening's does not.

I'm assuming those were the trees you meant? Hope that helps.

Thank you! It mostly worked, I still can't see the characters on the background, but I can see the background and the text box, so that's good

EDIT: NVM. I just hadn't put in the right code

Hey there!

First off, thanks for this amazing tool! It has made actually writing supports manageable and not nearly as time-consuming as it was before.

I'm running into some issues getting the support to show up in game. I used the support tool to add a support table for Kumagera (I plan to do this for the other capturables very soon as well), and used this tool to make a support for him and Benny.
I named the file (I think) correctly, but the support still isn't showing up in-game. The "Benny and Kumagera attained support level X" is the only thing that pops up. Is there any extra editing of the bch.lz file required to get it to show up in-game?

Thanks!

Unless that was a typo on your part, supports are supposed to be .bin.lz.

Whoops. Yeah. It's bin.lz.

EDIT: Just checked my file against another one and they're basically identical. I'll attach my file. Still not showing up in game.

I'm not at my desktop atm, but thank you for the reply!

Can someone upload an .lz file that's known to work with the program? My files aren't working for some reason and I want to see if I had a bad install or if it's something else. Thank you!

Did you manage to find a .lz? I have a vanilla one if you need it.

I also still haven't managed to get a single support I've written to work in the actual game. =/

I haven't yet, so any you could provide would be much appreciated! Thanks!

As for getting it in the game, are they new supports? From what I understand new supports require the use of thane98's support editor to open it up link. I haven't gotten that far yet though so I'm not sure if that'd solve your problem.

They're new supports; for KumageraxHaitaka, KumageraxAzura, KumageraxBenny, and HaitakaxBenny.

I've added support tables for both Haitaka and Kumagera as well as support options for the already in-game characters, and have made sure the supports' game text matches other support text files' format.

Yeah, it's kind of not running. Tried running the .jar and the other files, and it dosen't run.
Maybe it's because I have both Awakening and Fates packs?

Verify if JAVA is installed on your computer.
I went to the JAVA site and download the version for PC (not for browser internet) and after, the bat files work with no problem.
