I'm not an expert or anything, but my guess is that if that is the correct key, perhaps Nintendo has made some kind of change in the game/files/extraction of this specific game that breaks the programs currently released. I really dunno. Weird new Anti-Piracy measures isn't a first for Nintendo, so it just makes me think of that.
It could also just be a weird bug in the program that it even gets as far as it does.
That or that there are some missing encrypted files that were never published.
Maybe the key is almost correct so it kind of start and then crashes...
But the thing is i would like to know the source of that bug, why this key doesnt behave like 100 others i tried.

Also with purchases changing to account only instead of system, will that destroy methods like utikdownloader and such?

We couldn't download Skyward Sword early at that time, because Nintendo didn't provide things digitally back then for games. However, I'm pretty sure both Skyward Sword and it's demo were leaked a day or two earlier than it's release date in the first country it was released in.

And here I'd heard someone had already leaked it and data-mined it. That must have been a load of bollocks. I already pre-ordered a copy for Wii U but I was hoping I'd be able to play it tonight anyway. Oh well~

That Tik dont work first Show error with the dll and then the error with the common key
He could have leaked some stuff about the game, but not the game itself. It could be legit.
However, there is not a leak available to the public just yet. We're all here still hoping and trying things that probably wont work.
yeah, i think. i made a hex file titled ckey.bin with the common key, so i'd assume thats it...
Actually, you need to also delete the ckey.bin from the game folder. It get copied when you attempt to decrypt

I just heard that some people on some unnamed website were already data-mining the game, but that person must have been misinformed (as I assumed, because I didn't think an ISO dump would come first).
Just out of curiosity, is the game available to preload? I'm buying a physical copy so I'm not sure. I didn't think you could currently pre-order it on the Wii U but I could be wrong.
I don't believe so. I'm not getting it digitally either, but I swear I saw it's not up for preload yet.
Hmm, I might as well check it right now then, since I have my Wii U next to me.
Anyway, I have plenty of free time, so if anyone wants help here, give me a shout. I've got a Mac but I've got a couple of Windows systems readily available too, and I've got all the tools necessary (including multiple copies of the common key).
