I updated the dlgTool again. You can extract DS and AATri dialogues with it. Since the encoding in the NDS games is a little bit off of the one in AATri you have to insert for example special characters like á or whatever.
There is no save bug. All possible values are now somehow stored in the txt files (marked as the command "do_not_delete"... just don't delete it.).
The tool should now be more usable then PWSE and also more reliable.

P.S: You can't copy over DS scripts to AATri completely unchanged. Since font encoding and most graphics, animation and sound ID's aren't the same in AATri it's better to only copy over the text from the DS dialogues to prevent unwanted graphic or sound bugs.

You can use the text/script from the DS version, just change specials characters and it's ok ?"

Something good too, I compared a bit of texts, and they use the same number of characters per lines, even if the 3DS' screen is larger.
I mean

So it's cool, just an easy copy-paste to respect scripts (animations effects, etc...).

I found a glyph width table in the code.bin. After editing the values in this table I managed to change the space one character usee in the dialogue. Now nothing is hindering me to replace japanese characters with our special chars. It also means that we don't need a new font for every language.

I will create a universal font with every special character I needed so far. If yiu want your language's special chars in the font, just PM me and send me a list of every special char that is used in your language. (@Asia81 for french for example)

I now completed my work on the universal font.
You can find it (like every other things) in our tools folder, specifically in the "font tools" folder.
Use the universal font "42.cfnt" and then patch your code.bin of AATri with the "codePatcher.py", placed in the font folder as well.

The universal font should contain most special characters. Included are all spacial characters for spanish, french, portuguese, german and some minor extras.
The universal font isn't final yet. The portuguese translation team will edit the accents a bit, but for sure until the revise of them is finished you can use the font I created so far.

You have to use the new dlgTool2.py version to be able to see the special characters you typed ingame. The tool now doesn't need a language to be given. Just like the font it now uses a universal en-/decoding table usable for at least the 4 languages mentioned above.

Do you know a quick way to try the translation without compressing/repacking pack.dat?
12000 files take a long time to compress then repack...

Nope. the pack.datconsists of LZ11 compressed files. So every file which is changed has to be compressed with LZ11 again.

You don't have to recompress ALL files BTW. You just have to recompress changed files. So if you just changed 42.cfnt, you can just remove 42.comp and use the compress function of packTool.py.
packTool.py skips already compressed files.
Maybe that is what you meant?

I updated etc1tool and BchPngConv2.py.
There were fixes with alpha values. So I recommend to update as early as possible if you don't want your pictures to be distorted.

Update: The dlgTool2.py got a big update that fixed a crash ingame. Only use this version from now on since the crash would make the game unplayable especially in testimonies.
You can use the txt files you made with this but you have to create a new dlg-File.
