You know was the size of it was?

it was 67.3MB. and i just realized that it was street fighter 3 - new generation. not sure if it is the same a street fighter 3 - 3rd strike. just search that quote from my previous post and you should be golden... when you find the version you want, make sure you get the parent rom first. it will say at the top of the page if it is or if it requires one.

I'll try this right now

You need both moonwalk.zip(parent rom) and moonwlkb.zip(bootleg version) in mame 0.37b5 romsets, and run moonwlkb and it works
thanks to aria i got moonwalker working on mame2000

you need both those files in the same folder and load moonwlkb, it should work

Edit : it works but the frame rate dips to 50fps and gets choppy

Anyone wanting to try any midway games, the mortal kombat games and i think rampage world tour works but there is slowdown with no sound at all. Used the mame2000 retroarch core.

try finding a different source. mortal kombat works for me with sound in mame. mk.zip is the parent rom. that one alone runs a bit slow. i also have mkla4.zip in the same folder (along with a few others) and choosing that zip runs mortal kombat pretty smooth. maybe a bit static in the sound but sound none the less.

So I tried it out and it worked it's a tad slow but that's fine it's probably because the emu is brand new there is still plenty of time for improvement :D I'm super happy though Is there anyway to speed it up as of rn?

I just tried MAME 2000. Had a ball with Donkey Kong, but when I tried to load another game, it crashed. Well, it will run things at least.

Does anyone know the specific folders that each RetroArch emulator goes into? I've been trying to make icons for each one and not having that information... is aggravating. Thanks in advance!

For the ones I use, as of a few days ago:

05: CPS2
08: fceumm
09: gambatte
10: genesis_plus_gx
25: snes9x2005
28: stella
31: vba_next

Also, if you make any good icons, please share them :) Mine are a bit rough around the edges.

honestly its not worth the time doing it that way and you can only edit the icon doing it that way just edit the VPK file themselves as the icon will be overwritten every update anyway

I think the numbers shift as new cores are added, but thanks all the same! As DeathBlade said, it's just easier to modify the cores with a ZIP utility; I used 7Zip. It works great and you don't have to reset your system to make the new icons appear.

As for icons, I use anything circular; something that looks nice inside the bubble. You know, seals of approval from game consoles and occasionally logos as well. The Neo-Geo logo is a perfect fit! And of course I used a game token for MAME...

You guys know they added LCD games (Game + Watch, etc) to the list of cores? I just played the dual screen version of Donkey Kong on my PSTV. Funky!

fba cores problem:

* All vertical games: screen flipped, wrong core screen ratio
* Psikyo SH-2 games, PGM games: slow

(Also mame2000 has wrong core screen ratio in many vertical games, e.g. galaga, zingzip)
