Given its old as dirt (in tech terms) hardware it's still got some surprising strength.

Honestly the best thing this has to offer is remote play, and I suppose ps now.

Piracy would be great especially given its age but since the vita never took off (because Sony doesn't know how to advertise to save their lives) I don't see it happening.

Seeing as it doesn't look like the Vita is going to be hacked there seems little point in keeping it. Shame really as I would have enjoyed homebrew emulators on it and the like. So the damn thing is just sitting in the drawer gathering dust. Disappointing :(

I think that's a bit dumb, because it's not hacked it's useless. But we all prefer different things. I personally love my vita, I love the design I love the games. Imo it's the best hand held console out right now. A bit more games wouldn't hurt it but I find it amazing. I don't even care if it can't be hacked.

Sony's proprietary memory and their "Wait, we have a handheld console, since when?!" is what killed the Vita. It's a shame too, because it looks nice. Too bad I have no reason to buy one.

Do you have to be so childish? I realised once it was released it was probably never going to happen. My hope was pre-release that Sony would follow in the same vein as they had with PS1 on PSP.

My comment wasn't a "bahaha why it not emu ps2 r0mz" rant.
Haha I'm so sorry, I really didn't mean that as a jab towards you, just the general assumption that newer things always "should" be able to emulate older things. So sorry <3

I refuse to give up on it. The main reason I stay on this site is i'd like to see english patch projects for the many vita games that never came out in english.

The vita is one of my favorite systems. I like the library alot and it has a great form factor for rpgs and visual novels, my 2 favorite genres.

I just got into the Vita & while I'm disappointed in how Sony tied things down, making a console mod-able isn't a consumer's right. I'm enjoying it for what it is naturally vs the PSP & if someone in the future manages to crack it open to the point I can convert & play the PSP games I legit own then that's a bonus. Till then I'll keep my psp around for those games & the Vita for current titles.

If transfer a game from my PSP to PC to make space, will my save data for the game still be there when I put it back on the PSP?

Why in the love of fuck did you post that inside this thread?
If you're even talking about the Vita, transfer the save game too.

I rather enjoy a life of taking it easy. I haven't reached that life yet though.
