I'm running the firmware off the r4i site, and I'm using that.
Yeah, but the rarity of what you want to do is dragging you into serious potential brick land then you will "save" some negative 190€, and also time wasting.
Time is money. I don't think this is worth the effort.
Idc if I brick, I can restore from backup. Also I don't want to wait a month to get an acekard delivered so I can play my ds roms which I can already play on my nds. If I can't do this, I can just play on my nds. and I have a bunch of free time right now o_o
I read somewhere it is possible to run 4.X on a new 3DS, but it was in the context of trying to recover from no working nand backup coming back from 2.1. It involved updating from a game cart to 4.x, but it looked horrendously unstable, so it's definitely not recommended without a hard mod.

Well, from what I've heard from my parents, he had a seizure last night, perhaps an epileptic episode, fucking died, had a near death experience, my dad called the paramedics, they showed up, took him to the hospital, and he woke up covered in tubes, and started complaining.
