@Steveice10 just curious, but is there any rhyme or reason behind giving FBIv2 a different unique ID?

Most likely so you can install it with FBI ver 1. The 3DS isn't terribly fond of an application reinstalling itself. Even FBI v2 fails to let me reinstall over itself from what I can tell. The way I evaded the problem with my CIA installer QRWebLoader was to write a second small app called AutoLoader who's sole purpose in life was to let you AppJump() to a different app, download and reinstall the originally running app, and AppJump() back (and optionally uninstall itself when finished, so you won't see how it pulled things off). I'm still waiting to see how @Steveice10 resolves this same problem with FBI, as I'm sure he's got a more elegant solution up his sleeve for it...
I never had problems updating FBIv2 through itself, I just restart the app and it's updated!
Wouldn't make FBI jump to itself after updating be enough?
Well I'll be damned, you're right! You can reinstall as long as it's a different version. With FBI v2 it only bitches about already being installed if you're trying to reinstall the same version you're already on. So yeah, you can just reinstall and jump back to yourself to make it update. It would have been nice to have figured that out a few months ago...
Wondering how to use FBI with .tik files?
Directions for FBIv2.0-2.0.5:
1. Have FBIv2 installed on your 3DS.
2. Have the .tik file of the game you want to download somewhere on your SD card.
3. In FBIv2 select the SD option and navigate to where the (Gamename).tik file is located on your SD card and install it.
4. Visit the eShop on your 3DS and use the searchbar to find your game.
5. In the games page it will have the option to redownload.
6. Redownload the game!

What exactly is not working? Is it trying to install and then giving an error after everything is loaded?
I use shameless or ciangel to download the ticket. I go into fbi. I go into tickets. I try to install the ticket from cdn and it gives me an error.
If you are using COangel you don't need to go into FBI. Just install right with CIAngel. Or download the CIA with it and then install with FBI if you must
ok thanks. Also, i have super smash bros for 3ds. I have previously purchased some dlc. However, I have found the tik for dlc. When I install it, I do not get all the dlc, only the dlc i bought. Any Ideas?
From my experience if Getting DLC is best to outright pirate it or Buy everything.
You will have to reinstall the DLC.cia every time you access the eshop or any time your NNID is accessed

FBI v2.2.0 has been released.
- Added option to install titles from the CDN directly after installing each of their tickets.
- Added option to extract a title's SMDH.
- Added scroll bars to lists that take up more than a single screen of space.
- Lists no longer need to completely refresh after an operation has completed, and maintain their previous position.
- Modified multi-item actions, such as batch CIA installs, to show the information of the current item on the top screen.
- Moved version indicator to the status bar.
- Fixed using QR codes with redirecting URLs.
- Fixed freeze when sleeping or suspending to the home menu during an asynchronous operation.
- Fixed freeze during a CIA installation.
- Miscellaneous internal clean-up and bug fixing.

Yup. I didn't do it myself but I already know that some people don't read the warnings and just do it anyways.

Sorry for another release so soon, but an important bug was brought to my attention, so I've released FBI v2.2.1.
- Display free space of all NAND partitions, when possible.
- Fix freeze when opening the QR code scanner.
